This is a reproduction belt buckle or cartridge box buckle that is made of solid brass. The buckle was made from an original buckle, circa 1760. The buckle measures 4" x 1 7/8" on the outside, the inside measurement is 3 3/4". The buckle can be used for a belt or a cartridge box strap. The buckle is polished and has two tongue's installed on the middle bar. The buckle was made from one in our collection.
