Men's Hunting Shirt

This was worn mid 18th century. Made to be worn over your shirt and waist coat. The purpose was to keep your under clothing clean. It is a pull over shirt with an extra long slit down the front to fit over your everyday clothing. The neck is made to fold over and has a button to hold the neck closed if you like. This shirt has gussets under the arm, at the neck and has reinforcements across the shoulder. The length on this shirt is longer so it covers more of your clothing to keep it clean.
