These are constructed without a heel cup (tube sock style) to allow more flexibility in the wearer's sizes, as we know the wee ones grow quickly. 

Although photographed on an adult sized leg, these are indeed long stockings when put on a child's foot... and they look adorable in them. These stockings will hold up very well to everyday wear on an active youngster, whether it's a tea party or a sword fight.
