This buckle was reproduced from an original 18th century buckle. The buckle was found at Saratoga battle field in New York. I have also seen this buckle in Fort Ticonderoga's museum. The buckle may have been used for a belt, or my own personal opinion is that it was used for a baldric. The buckle is made from solid brass and measures 3" x 2 1/2". The inside measurement is 1 5/8".If you are looking for something different this may be just the buckle for you.
