This is a reproduction belt buckle or cartridge box buckle and is made of solid brass. The buckle was made from an original buckle found near Fort Ticonderoga. The buckle measures 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" on the outside, the inside measurement is 1 7/8". The buckle can be used for a belt. The buckle is polished and has a tongue installed on the middle bar. The buckle was made from one in our collection.
