This type of single weight knit cap dates from the 16th century and is an accurate reproduction of hats worn by the workers, farmers, and fishers of Colonial Williamsburg. The cap is made from 100% pure new wool. The cap can be rolled down to keep your ears warm or worn rolled up. I cary one of these in my pack to use as a night cap or when needed when the weather suddenly changes to cold or to a rainy day. If you need to wash your cap do so by washing gently by hand in warm water ,rinse in cold water and lay the cap flat to air dry.
