This ramrod puller sure comes in handy when your wooden rod is stuck down your barrel. This tool fits over the rod and as you pull the tool grips your rod making it easier to remove the rod without damaging your ramrod. This tool is not a historical reproduction,but works better than a pair of pliers or vice grips. I carry one of these in my shooting pouch just in case I need it out in the woods. The puller is made of solid brass and has a leather lining wear the tool grips your rod. This tool will fit over a rod up to and including 1/2" We suggest that you use this puller if you have a patch stuck on your ramrod that is down barrel. If you have your rifle or musket loaded and need to pull a ball, we suggest not using this puller. There are safer ways to pull a stuck ball.
