This is a new French privates Folding Knife made for Smiling Fox Forge. We have these made for us with a carbon steel blade. The knife is a reproduction of an 18th century folding knife. The blade is 4.25" long 1" wide and has a steel blade, The blade  holds a good edge. The knife is 5 " long when in the closed position. The knife handle is made of wood, has no spring and is held open with a thumb tab on the blade. This is a plain simple folding knife.  These are great to carry in your shooting pouch to use to cut patches, camp chores, or cleaning your game. A great little folding knife for carrying in your waistcoat, breeches, or your haversack. It has a bone handle and brass bolsters.
