This Musket sling is made of 7/8 oz. Natural leather with our solid brass 1 1/4" sling buckle, that is a mid 18th century reproduction buckle. The sling is 1 1/4" wide and will vary in length, If you would like the length a certain size, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. The sling ties on one end of the swivels at the bottom and loops threw the top swivel. The photo with the sling attached on my French Fusil with the lighter color ties on both ends.

The natural leather will vary in color somewhat. The color of natural leather will vary some from a light tan to a dark tan. The color will not be white. Also as the leather ages it will take on it's own patina to a darker color. The photo with the 2 pieces of leather shows a new sling unexposed to the light or weather, and the other piece of leather has been exposed to the light and shows how the leather darkens on it's own. We have no control over the color of the leather when it arrives at our shop, but it is not white.

The photo with the darker sling has been on my French Fusil for several years, this is an example of how the leather ages on it's own. The sling buckle is sewn on the belt in our shop by my Granddaughter. She does a fine job making our slings and enjoys making them. Lets keep her happy by purchasing one of her hand made musket slings. The slings are made to fit the Brown Bess musket, Charleville musket and we also use them on our French Fusils.

The slings are adjustable by sliding the buckle to the position that you want. The photo with the darker sling is on my french Fusil to show how the other end is attached to to sling swivels and this is the type of sling you are buying.
