 The heel plates measure 3" long and 3" wide. They are made of 1/2" x 1/8" flat stock.We sell Fuqawee style franklin shoes and they seem to work well on them. The larger shoe such as a 11.5 the plates are 1/2" short of covering the hole heel.

The heels on your shoes take the most abuse. People in the 18th century had the same problem with there heels wearing down before the sole was worn out, especially in the military. They solved the problem by making heels plates out of steel or brass. The heels plates were easily attached by nails. The heel plates we have listed are made of steel and comes with nails so you can easily attach them to your shoes. These were made to fit reproduction 18th and 19th century shoes and will fit a variety of different shoes. They may not fit every shoe out there that is being sold. Also just want to mention that when walking on a wood floor heel plates can scratch the floor or when walking on concrete you need to be careful as sometimes you may feel like your skating.
