This Throwing Knife is made here in the USA. The blade is made of 4140 steel, has heavy leather for the handle scales, held on with screw rivets. With the way the handle is designed, you can get a firm grip on the knife and feels great in your hand. When throwing, the handle is designed to leave your hand smoothly. The knife blade measures 8 1/2" long and the overall length is 14", blade thickness is 3/16" and weight about 15oz. These knives can also be used as a camp knife as they will hold a good cutting edge. I have even used one of these to split kindling for my camp fire. These knives have won many competitions at events and are simply the best on the market. I have personally used these knives and highly recommend them for anyone who wants to compete in knife throwing competitions at a rendezvous. This is a heavy duty knife and can handle the rigors of knife throwing. I have personally witness the abuse some of these knives have taken from first time throwers. There are several knock offs of this knife on the market which sell cheaper, but there quality does not even come close to the high quality of these knives .
